At Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối, we are continually inspired by the dreams and determination of our students, as one recently shared:
“I have a dream that one day I’ll be able to speak with my co-workers, neighbors and friends. I know it is far away, but I will achieve it.”

This simple yet powerful dream reminds me why our work and your support matters so deeply. Every step our clients take toward independence, confidence and belonging is possible because of partners like you.

I recently returned from a three-month sabbatical across Vietnam, Sài Gòn, Phú Quốc, Đà Nẵng, Hà Nội and Bái Tử Long Bay, made possible through an award from the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) program. For the first time, I chased sunsets, ate at “normal hours” and deepened my understanding of my country and its people. These experiences have recharged me and strengthened my commitment to our community here in Renton.

We’re thrilled to mark our one-year anniversary in our new home, a milestone made possible through your support. I warmly invite you to visit anytime to see the impact firsthand (check out this article from the Renton Reporter: Renton nonprofit helps local Vietnamese community thrive).

On October 25, we’ll celebrate our 32nd birthday with a special fundraiser. Your presence and support would mean the world as we honor our community, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to the next chapter together.
