Message from the Executive Director – Giving Back in a Big Way

I am reaching out to express my gratitude for your support and contributions to Helping Link over the past three decades. This journey—and the vital services we provide to the Vietnamese-American community—couldn’t happen without YOU.

After being in Seattle’s “Little Saigon” neighborhood in the International District for many years Helping Link is moving to a new location in Renton.

Current data indicate a significant increase in the Vietnamese population in this city just south of Seattle, making Renton a strategic move to better serve communities in both cities. Stay tuned for details about our grand reopening in the coming months.

To serve the increase in requests for community services that will occur with the move, we are seeking additional financial support. To help us do that, consider making a gift during the GiveBIG campaign, May 7-8. Want to extend your financial gift further? Consider creating a matching gift where each contribution can allow us to serve even more in our community. This annual two-day online event (www.wagives.org/) is dedicated to generating donations for more than 1,400 Washington nonprofits. Help us reach our $15,000 fundraising goal. Donate today to support Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối.

With your help, we will continue to expand our mission of:

  • Advocating on behalf of the Vietnamese-American community in the areas of public safety, health care and economic resources;

  • Working to empower Vietnamese-Americans’ social adjustment, family stability, community-belonging and self-sufficiency; and

  • Serving Vietnamese-American refugees and immigrant families in King County with employment opportunities, education, leadership development, ESL classes and cultural celebrations.

Spread the word about GiveBIG to your friends, family and networks and the transformational ways you can support nonprofits like Helping Link.

Thank you for being our champion of compassion, equity and inclusion.
Hope & Solidarity,

Ms. Minh Đức Phạm Nguyễn, Executive Director
